Rescue Me ID: 17-08-07-00496RITA and STELLA (female)

Westie    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This beautiful pair became friends when they were adopted together a few years ago. A change in their mama's life has left them needing a new home again. Both are about 8 years old, housebroken, very loving, and they enjoy having lots of toys and attention. They're just so happy to be around people, be a part of everything, and share the home life with their family. Rita (purebred schnauzer) is afraid of thunderstorms and loud noises... she'll need extra TLC during the storms. Stella (purebred Westie) is fearless (as well as very playful). They've both been spoiled with lots of love and we'd like that to continue. Mama also spoiled them with ... (Read More)way too many treats so we're starting them on a healthier diet right now and will incorporate walks back into their routine so they can get their girlish figures back. Rita needs to lose about 5-6 pounds, and Stella needs to lose 6-7 pounds so their adopter will need to exercise some will-power from extra treats .. and use green beans as their treats (dogs love frozen green beans as a cool summer treat!). Both girls are spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Adoption fee for the pair is $500. To meet them, please email adopt@pwrescue.org. We may be able to set up meet & greet upon approved application - or, they will be at SUNDAY's adoption event at Pet Club from 11am til 1:45pm. Pet Club in Scottsdale is at 9325 E Shea Blvd. (Less)

Cosmo is the sweetest, feisty lil guy with the cutest longest body you've ever seen! He was found as a stray and the previous owners were not able to be located. He is estimated at 4 years old. He likes other dogs, big and small. He is neutered, UTD on rabies shot. He is social with other dogs but would prefer a female dog in the home. He doesn't seem to like bigger dogs, especially male ones. He's 10 lbs, and he does shed a little.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Westie in Arizona
Westie Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The West Highland White Terrier, or Westie, is a spirited little white dog. Westies are very sociable, good with children, and can be socialized to get along with other pets. Male Westies may not get along well with other males, and Westies may chase cats. This breed can live in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.

lnteresting Westie Trivia Low-Cost Arizona Spay & Neuter Clinics
Westies are simply Cairns bred for their white coats. Westies come from Argyll, Scotland. Westies are excellent ratters. The white coat of a Westie helps hunters tell the difference between the dogs and their quarry. Westies originated through an accident of genetics when a Cairn delivered white puppies in its litter.
