|Rescue Me ID: 17-06-13-00441Sam (male)|
* Please apply online at www.6dogrees.com by doing so you will get a response quicker. Meet Sam! I am an 18-month old terrier mix and 8-pounds of energy! I am a neutered, current on all vaccinations, and ready to conquer the world! My adoption fee is $595. I am a very happy dog, a little frightened around man, but with patience and time I know that this can definitely be overcome. I came from a home that thought I had too much energy - I say, 'Phooey - that is typical terrier!' I am entertaining and will put a smile on your face. I like to follow my people around like a shadow, and then speed like lightening through the house and make you giggle. As I am still a young dog, I should attend puppy classes with you. This will create a bond for us, and also ensure that I have manners to make you proud. I will require a fully fenced yard so that I do not run away. I am curious, and this is all new to me. Fences help protect me and establish boundaries. I am being fostered with dogs my size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend - this will ensure that I have enough exercise to burn off my excessive energy. I will need a grain-free diet to keep me healthy and my coat beautiful. I have a straight wiry coat that will need to be brushed occasionally, and grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep me adorable. I am pretty much a 'wash and wear' dog. Sam is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, Sam should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. The adoption fee is $575. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. I am fostered North of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State. (Less)

Yes Good with Cats? Unknown Good with Kids? Unknown Adoption Fee: $ 500 This is a very sad one, poor Duncan in his lifetime has been abandoned in an apartment while his owner went on vacation & left him there for 6 days with no food nor water & the apartment flooded & the roof collapsed with Duncan in it. As a result this fellow has food aggression & will need work. He gets along great with some dogs & not with others so he will need an experienced home only. Duncan is a 7 year old Westie Sealyham mix who weighs 29.2 lbs is up to date on his shots, neutered, just had a dental under us, is chipped & heart worm negative. Duncan is currently in a foster home with teenagers & 2 small dogs so he absolutely does like some dogs. He was surrendered to a shelter in CA & adopted out but returned because he didn't get along with the new families dog but they did exactly the same thing with another dog at the shelter. Duncan needs a home with a backyard & someone to give him lots of love & attention. We do not recommend a home with children nor cats. He has an adoption fee of $500. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. WE ARE VOLUNTEERS WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we've received and reviewed your completed application. |Rescue Me ID: 17-04-22-00366Annie (female)|
Sweet Annie appears to be a Westie / Poodle / maybe Lhasa Apso. She is a 2ish yr old, 15lb girl. She is a very silly, quirky, energetic girl that loves everyone she meets. Annie seems to be a little cross-eyed so can sometimes be a bit uncoordinated. She gets along very well with other animals and must have another dog in home to play with. Annie adores big dogs so a larger playmate is preferred. She's learning to walk on a leash, she's great in the car, and her foster mom is working on housebreaking. In all her playfulness, Annie will often get underfoot and tugging on your pant leg, with hopes of encouraging play. She is learning that this is not the best way to instigate play, but she learns slowly so she needs a bit more training. Because of being cross-eye, her depth perception is a little off so she cannot have more than just a few steps in the home. She will do best in an easy going, playful home that has plenty of time and love to give. Annie is being fostered in Kenmore. (Less)

Westie Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The West Highland White Terrier, or Westie, is a spirited little white dog. Westies are very sociable, good with children, and can be socialized to get along with other pets. Male Westies may not get along well with other males, and Westies may chase cats. This breed can live in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.
