     A wonderful lady and her daughter saw Annie on Rescue Me, called and came from the other end of the state. They visited for a couple of hours, learned about her and decided she was the one of them. It was a difficult moment since we had spent so much love and time helping her to recover from her previous experiences, but I think she will be very happy with her new owners. This site was a wonderful find for us because it was so important that she go to a good home and we could not think of putting her in a shelter. Thank you again, Rescue Me!      I posted on Wednesday, had two calls that day. The second caller had had three Westies, all of whom have gone to doggy heaven, and has been without a dog for a year. She and her grown son came and met Duffy, we talked for two hours. They understand all her medical needs. We went to see their home and big fenced yard today, and my Duffy has a new home! This is really a success story, for not many people would want a ten year old dog with several medical issues and the need of expensive medications. So many thanks to you, Jeff and Rescue Me!

     Sam has been adopted. The lovely lady who adopted him got in touch with me about Sam after her daughter called her from the airport and let her know about Sam. Since Sam is a senior dog she wanted to try him out for two weeks before committing to adopting him. We agreed to that because we wanted the best home for Sam that we could find. Well, today she said he is a 'keeper'. She loves him. He is a true Westie with the classic 'Westitude', stubborn, funny, energetic, lap dog who needs to be by your side. He is a barker and lets you know when something is happening in his world. He has not barked in the two weeks she tried him out, until yesterday. A hot air balloon flew over and he barked non stop until it was out of sight. That is Sam. He eats veggies and fruit. His favorite is apples. Oh, how we will and are missing him. I let her know she can return him anytime he does not work out. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     We had an immediate outpouring of Westie lovers from all over the country, but were so lucky to find an older couple with no children who love Westies and have had them for over 40 years.      After reviewing several websites, we chose Rescue Me! It became the most practical and simplest to use when looking for a dog to rescue. Several of the sites we evaluated and the pets they featured were less than forthcoming as to health and true description of the animals. We were directed quickly, accurately and honestly to SNIPSA for a dog that we felt was right for us. We were not disappointed. We were approved and in less than a week were caring for the dog of our choice. No maybes, waiting or run around.

     Sam is a wonderful dog that was our very best friend since he was a puppy. It was difficult for us to say goodbye, but with the around the clock care for my father who suffered a stroke, Sam needed to find a home where could get the loving attention he deserves. Sam got just that with a family with acres to run and now even has a girlfriend named Nellie. Thank you Rescue Me for helping out both our families.      Rhett has some serious skin issues and we cleaned him up the best we could with the help of our neighbor who has worked with dogs most of her life. The local family came by this morning for a meet and greet with their Westie and after going for a walk and talking it over they adopted Rhett and was taking him straight to the vet about his skin. I know they will be a loving family for Rhett. Thank you Rescue Me for having this website.

     I found my Westie poodle mix on Rescue Me and though she was overweight and had a yeast infection in her ear and on her skin, she has happily lost weight, using the treadmill, and learning to sit in the presence of distractions. She happily prances about and plays 'hide the toy,' walks next to me on the leash, comforts me when I'm sad, and though she doesn't like when I leave her presence for short periods to go to another room, she quiets down from whimpering fairly quickly. i really enjoy her and plan to start agility classes with her.

     Mikie was adopted by a loving family because of Rescue Me. This family was looking for a small dog for their 10 year old son. They saw Mikie on the Rescue Me website and emailed me. After considering other potential adopters, we chose this family for Mikie. He is very happy there and the 10 year old just loves him and thinks he's 'cool'. Best of all, I can visit Mikie as he lives only minutes away. Thank you also to the family for giving Mikie his forever home.

     I just could not bring myself to give up Jazz. I love him too much to part I will do whatever is necessary to keep him and continue to give him all the love and care he needs. I will speak to my vet when it's time for his physical and also see what kind of help or assistance I can get from family members who also love Jazz a lot. Jazz man has been in my family for 12 years. Seeing his picture with an ID number saying Rescue Me broke my heart so I told myself, 'I Must--I Must find a job to take care of my little man, ALL THAT JAZZ'. I really do love my Westie. He's my baby boy. I just want to say thank you, Rescue Me and all, for your kind words and understanding. Wish me luck in finding a job. With God on my side, I should have my blessing in no time.      Rescue Me! assisted us greatly in finding a new home for Trixie. We are thrilled. Unable to sustain her medical bills, we thought it was a hopeless situation with no options. Then I spoke to my coworker who is a foster pet parent, and she told me about Rescue Me! Trixie is a wonderful pet, and though we will miss her, we are confident her new home will be a warm and loving environment and Trixie will do what she does, and that is give love and be an awesome family friend.

     Jack has found a home. My husband and I brought Jack, a 6 year old Westie home today. First stop was at the pet store for high quality food to help correct a skin allergy. Tomorrow we go to the vet for some help with the allergy. We are looking forward to a long happy life. Smithy, our 17-year old cat welcomed him home. Everyone is happy. Pets are our important members of our family.      I'm so happy to report that a lovely couple drove four hours to adopt our little blind/deaf Westie yesterday. She has multiple issues, and miraculously went right to both wife and husband! My husband has been very ill, hospitalized seventeen days altogether, and has had numerous doctor visits plus infusion sessions every day for six weeks. It was becoming more and more impossible for me to attend to her like I wanted to. I myself am 72 years old with walking issues of my own, so my prayers were answered thanks to your wonderful website! I can't thank you enough for being there for all concerned: yours truly, our Westie girl, and the wonderful people who so lovingly took her into their home. God bless!

     Mickey has found his forever home! The decision to put Mickey up for adoption was not an easy one, but Rescue Me! made finding Mickey the home he deserved so much easier.      I had put my Westie, Lootie, up for adoption on this site. Within hours there were many inquiries about him. Everyone seemed wonderful, but I selected a couple who had recently lost a Westie to an illness. We arranged to meet and although their home was 40 miles or so from mine, I was so glad that I went. They were a loving, caring couple and it was love at first sight for everyone. We arranged to go home and think on it while things were checked out like vet, etc. and to carry out our adoption if all went well. To make a long story short, Lootie is one happy dog in his new home, and his adoptive parents have emailed me with notes and pictures. This has been such a positive experience.      I have used the Rescue Me! site for customers that needed to rehome their companions because their lives had changed unexpectedly. This has been an invaluable and immediate resource. I helped the owners of two pure breed dogs that needed to be removed from the home quickly, and both received overwhelming responses and were placed within days of posting. I volunteer for the Humane Society, and am grateful for other adoption nonprofits, but when you can place a dog directly to a good home it is the best option.      Our Northwood Veterinary Hospital met Bo, an 8 yr old male Westie, in June of 2012. We knew he was sweet, loving, and may need a home in the future. Sure enough, he came to us again in late September. We took ownership of Bo and began our quest in finding him a new home. I'm not sure how I stumbled on the Rescue Me! website but I am sure glad I did. Within hours of posting Bo on the site, the phone calls and emails started coming in. Two families certainly stood out as great possibilities and were relatively close to Springfield, Ohio. The first family who was able to meet Bo adopted him Saturday October 15th. They too have an 8 yr old female Westie named Orly. Bo and Orly did a meet and greet for an hour and they decided they wanted to take Bo to his new home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Seems Bo is settling in very well, has been to a pumpkin patch, the dog park, and has already had his picture taken numerous times! I am unable to post a picture with this success story, but again, thank you for the opportunity you provide people with this rescue site. It is awesome! Vicie

     The success story is that we are keeping him. We had a family that wanted him but found that he wasn't the right dog for them. We have worked harder to get the dog and kitten relationship to work. It took 3 months but we have almost harmony. In that time the kitten has grown and can cohabitate with Jesse. Jesse is on strong meds for his skin issues but he's coming along. Everything worked out for the best and we have peace and a great dog and kitten. Thank you for your site at the time my relationship with my daughter was strained because she was worried about Jesse harming the kitten. So along with saving animals you save relationships too.

     I put Louie on your site last night and received an email within an hour. Today I had four more inquiries, and all of them were serious. This afternoon Louie went home with Jim and Sue (the first couple that contacted me). Jim's retired and looking for a play mate to share yard work with. I think it will be an excellent fit, and although I miss Louie terribly, I think he is in an environment that best suits his needs. I was very pleased with the service, and I will be sending a donation to this wonderful organization.

     This is a bitter-sweet occasion for my family. We will miss Kattie dearly, however, Kattie found a good home and true love. Yes, our 12 year old Westie found a new home with a kind and compassionate woman named Jackie and a companion, a male dog (another Westie) named Zerus. Today, St. Patrick's Day, we met Jackie in Columbus and gave Kattie to her. After Kattie met Zerus, and after they were found to be very compatible, Jackie took them to a doggie park near her home.      Yes we did find someone to adopt coconut. A very nice family with children, makes us very happy. Although it was very hard to see her go. I could not believe the response we got on coconut. Their are a lot of good people out there and a few, well I wont say. But thanks to rescue me we found a good home for coconut. Thank you again.

     Molly was adopted on Saturday. I certainly did not know where to turn trying to re-home my Westie. I was never planning this action, but due to my family situation, it was the only fair thing to do. The thought of Molly living in a crate most of the time was nothing short of cruelty. The responses I received were amazing. Most were truly compassionate people....some were just curious. I took some time to research/talk to the family I finally picked. Thanks so much for your site. I hope everyone using it finds success. Yes I will send a donation.
